Asking for help in her computer class earned seventh-grader Brittaney Adkins more than a better grade - she got to go to her first concert.

Pop singer Britney Christian performed Wednesday afternoon at Gardner Middle School for her "Milk Rocks!" tour, promoting nutrition at schools across the country.
About 600 of 800 Gardner students earned the chance to attend the concert through good grades and positive behavior, Assistant Principal Angela Tarry said.
"I made sure I got good grades and I behaved in class," said 13-year-old Adkins, who also got an autographed CD.
"I asked for help more, and now I have a tutor. This is my first time ever going to a concert."
About 50 students got to either tour Christian's bus or receive an autographed CD, and five kids earned both, Tarry said.
"We've actually been calling it a do-the-right-thing promotion," she said. "We're using it to reward the students who do the right things every day."
Although the school began the campaign to reward students with the concert, Tarry said she will plan other rewards and continue it the rest of the school year.
